CH-1000

CH-1000 is a titania type electrode which has good slag removal and bead appearance.(1) Machining is not applicable, but only grinding.(2) It is more suitable for soil abrasion than impact abrasion.(3) It is not desirable to apply postweld heat treatment.(4) It is used at AC and DC+.

Applications	Hard-surfacing of cutter knives, liner, mixer-blasdes and casings.
Characteristics	CH-1000 is a titania type electrode which has good slag removal and bead appearance. (1) Machining is not applicable, but only grinding. (2) It is more suitable for soil abrasion than impact abrasion. (3) It is not desirable to apply postweld heat treatment. (4) It is used at AC and DC+.
Notes on usage	(1) Preheat at 100~300℃. The temperature varies in accordance with the plate thickness and steel kind. (2) Keep the length of bead less than 50mm in the quenching part, hardening part. (3) Dry the electrodes at 300~350℃ for 30~60 minutes before use. (4) In the case of multi-lay build-up welding or welding mother plates with hardening property, under-lay with low hydrogen type electrodes for mild steel.
