    • 01Established in the name of CHOSUN STEEL WIRE INDUSTRY Ltd.
      by the late founder, Jang, Kyung-ho (in Choryang-dong
      Nam-gu, Busan)
  • 1962.
    • 06Moved to a larger factory located in Uam-dong Nam-gu, Busan
  • 1963.
    • 04Established manufacturing facility for covered arc welding
      electrodes
  • 1965.
    • 11Certified by the Korea Register of Shipping (KR) for covered
      electrodes
  • 1966.
    • 06Certified by the Bureau Veritas (BV) for covered electrodes
    • 11Certified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for
      covered electrodes
  • 1967.
    • 06Acquired the “KS” (Korea Industrial Standards) mark for
      covered electrodes for mild steel
  • 1969.
    • 04Established the 1st technological alliance with Japan’s Kobe
      Steel (for covered electrodes)
  • 1970.
    • 11Certified by the Lloyd’s Register (LR) for covered electrodes

    • 08Established and expanded the manufacture factory for covered
      electrodes
    • 12Established the 2nd technological alliance with Kobe Steel
      (low hydrogen type and high efficient covered electrodes)

    • 07Introduced from Kobe Steel (mechanized, continuous
      automated facility for covered electrodes manufacturing)

    • 10Established solid wire manufacturing facilities for submerged and
      MAG welding
    • 12Merger and acquisition of Dongkuk Steel Mill (Seoul factory)
      and IPO
    • Established the 3rd technological alliance with Kobe Steel
      (for welding wire)

    • 07Certified by the Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for welding materials
  • 1977.
    • 03Company name changed from CHOSUN STEEL WIRE INDUSTRY
